Desktop Support Technician Pay Rate $23/hr, paid weekly Duration: Temp to hire Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Location: Rutland, VT 05759 Job Summary: As a Desktop Technician, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our customers and proactively identifying their needs. You'll work to create the ideal experience that any customer would seek to encounter. Utilized visual task boards and ServiceNow ticketing system to manage and account for work, participating in regular team stand-up meetings for status updates. Repaired, tested, imaged, and cleaned PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and other hardware, ensuring optimal performance. Maintained, analyzed, and troubleshot software and computer peripherals; set up and configured all types of hardware. Managed asset lifecycle through installation, movement, addition, and changes (IMAC) during large events such as client printer migration and PC refreshes. Ensured timely follow-up on all support tickets, providing appropriate attention to outstanding issues. Assisted with installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenance of server equipment; performed backup, recovery, and security procedures during planned and emergency situations. Diagnosed network hardware and performance issues; executed installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical networks. Provided in-person technical support to end users, fostering effective face-to-face interactions at customer sites. Backed up and secured end-user data, and assisted in developing and documenting process improvements. Collaborated with coworkers to resolve end-user technical issues, supporting the Site Leader in executing established processes and escalations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced enterprise environment. Qualifications/Requirements: Drug-screen and Background screening 1-2 years of related work experience Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products. Enthusiastic about technology and willing to learn and stay on the cutting edge. Must be able to lift up to 40lbs Personable. Relatable and responsible when interacting with ALL customers. Consultative approach to solving issues. Reliable transportation TOP required skill: Customer service and Physical Touch Datacenter Support, Rack/Stack, Cable, Logistics/Asset Management Overall years of experience: 3 - 5 years' experience supporting PC Hardware and software. Basic network troubleshooting plus comfortability to act as smart hands for infrastructure issues required.
