Maintenance Technician PLC - 2nd shift

Nesco Resource is searching for an experienced MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to work with a great and established manufacturer in Troy, MI.
Shift: 4:00pm - 2:00am (little to no overtime)
Pay: $25-35/hour

Scope of the Position
Under minimum supervision, demonstrates experience and technical knowledge of Electrical Circuitry, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanics, and Mathematics and related skills to test, as well as troubleshooting and repairing equipment including PLCs, I/Os and Client.
Qualification Requirements:
- Journeyman Electrician or equivalent experience or schooling, if experience based a minimum of 6 years.
- Must be able to troubleshoot I/Os of PLC and Client devices.
- Excellent electrical diagram understanding is a MUST!
- Familiarity with IEC standards is preferred.
- Will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on all equipment.
- Will be required to work on all aspects of automation; electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical.
- Must be familiar with electrical codes and procedures.
- Will be required to do electrical work, from facility power to repairing non-automated machines.
- Must be a self-starter who shows the ability to find work when it is not directly pointed out.
- May need to attend classes for current and new equipment.
- Must be able to lift, twist, bend, squat, climb, stand and walk continuously in close, confined surroundings.
- Must be able to work mandatory OT when required 6-7 days per week.
- Must be a team player and have excellent communication skills.
- General awareness of all safety requirements and regulations.
General Responsibilities and Function:
- Troubleshoot issues with circuitry, programs, controllers and sensors to get equipment running while adhering to all safety protocols both internally and put forth by MIOSHA and OSHA.
- Sound understanding of Automated equipment (welding/handling robots/equipment, machine theory.
- Conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of electric, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical devices after a repair to ensure a successful uptime.
- Installs and removes related primary components and assemblies, makes necessary electric, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical hookups to controls, panels and related devices and equipment.
- Coordinate and participate in activities as needed with plant personnel (i.e. Project Engineering, Production Leader, Production Control, Quality Engineering, etc.) to maintain maximum utilization.
- Participate in and track project open issues (PM's and work orders) for all projects.
- Investigate root cause of quality failures and make permanent corrective actions. Assist in training team leaders, maintenance, tooling as needed.
- Monitor equipment cumulative cycles for predictive machine rebuild activity
- Conduct and lead major equipment rebuild activity
- Execute and verify quality of PM activity, and r esolve production issues related to processes
- Recommend appropriate equipment and settings, working closely with engineer
- Set up and operates equipment during initial production to verify accuracy of machine settings and programmed data.
- Assist in set-up, start-up and operation of production runs, and aide in cycle improvement.

Special Circumstances of the Job:
- Domestic and/or International Travel may be required

- Remain updated on leading edge technologies through association with various industry trade organizations.
- Must be willing and able to work on any shift in order to support production
