Angular/Java Developer
Position DescriptionCGI Federal is a leading provider of IT and business consulting services to federal government agencies. We are looking for a talented Mid-Level Angular and Java Developer to join our dynamic team.
As a Mid-Level Angular and Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications using Angular and Java technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
This position can be located at our Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilitieso Develop, test, and maintain web applications using Angular and Java.o Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.o Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.o Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.o Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner.o Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.o Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive.o Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this roleo Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.o 3-5 years of experience in software development with a focus on Angular and Java.o Solid understanding of Angular 17, Reactive and Template-Driven Forms, RxJS Observables, TypeScript / Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), HTML5, SCSS, Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data (Transaction Management, Security, JDBC), JPA / Hibernate, JAX-RS / Jersey, Design Patterns (e.g. Service Provider Interface (SPI), Data Transfer Object (DTO)), Maven, SQL, PostgreSQL, and RESTful APIs.o Experience with front-end build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, npm).o Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).o Knowledge of database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.o Excellent communication and teamwork skills.o Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:o Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.o Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).o Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).o Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,300.00 - $173,500.00.
