The Quote Specialist prepares accurate quotes for pricing and builds estimates by gathering information and analyzing material and job costing.
Essential Functions
Consistently demonstrates superior customer service by combining system knowledge, sales, product, and problem-solving skills to exceed customer expectations.Will create job routings and costing using current ERP system (Epicor).Builds estimate, and prices standard and special jobs at a level that keeps our products competitive and maximizes profit.Works together with multiple departments (i.e., engineering, production, QA, shipping) as needed to ensure accurate quotesPossesses strong numerical skills and has an analytical mindset. and lead times.Follows up on quotations and modifies quotes as necessary.Familiarity with financial and project management principlesAble to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision within specified time framesAble to identify problems and offer alternative solutions and/or courses of action based on available resourcesAbility to communicate effectively with internal partners and external customersOther duties as assigned.

Qualifications Guidelines
Experience/Training/Education:
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred. Requires a strong knowledge of Mi-Jack equipment. Having functional competence and a basic understanding of machining or a production environment.
Desired : Bachelor’s degree or Vocational training in mechanical, hydraulic and / or electronic assembly. 1-3 years of experience working on Epicor and Salesforce
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication, attention to detail and multi-task multiple jobs within the workday. Requires knowledge and understanding of product line; knowledge of office practices, business correspondence techniques and English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation; principles of customer service, public relations and communications; records management and file maintenance; knowledge of word processing, data base and spreadsheet software applications. Skills required include use of standard office equipment including telephones, calculators, copiers and facsimile equipment, accurately type at the net rate of 40 words per minute using a computer keyboard. Ability to accept constructive criticism; Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions; maintain the confidentiality of data; collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure; prioritize, organize, and complete tasks independently. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and work cooperatively with customers, sales representatives, staff, management, and other associates.
Physical and Environmental Elements:
This is primarily an office classification with low/moderate noise levels and controlled temperature conditions. Occasional short durations of time may be spent in shop floor environment, offsite in various environments, and some travel may be required (less than 15%).
