The Opportunity
Good Inside is looking for an innovative storyteller and a pragmatic Business Intelligence Analyst, who can turn data into actionable business recommendations for the Product, Marketing, Content, and Finance teams. You'll work closely with stakeholders across Good Inside, collaborating to drive real-world impact and address the most pressing business questions that need to be solved. We need someone who can cut through the business and data noise, identify what truly matters, and communicate insights in plain English. If you're passionate about using data, reporting and analysis to help guide great business decisions, want to work with a modern data and MarTech stack, and can balance speed with accuracy, we want to hear from you. This is a hybrid role based in Manhattan with three days onsiteWhat You'll OwnProblem Solving: Hear ambiguous business needs and propose the best plan to address those questions with a grounded data-first frameworkStrong Listening & Clear Communication: Turn your understanding of the team's needs into insights that can be articulated back to the team in an easy-to-follow mannerStorytelling: Translate complex data findings into simple, compelling stories that turn output into synthesized takeaways that form a narrative for the teamInsight Generation: Analyze qualitative, quantitative, and behavioral data sets to uncover actionable insights that drive business growth and product improvementsVisualization: write ad-hoc SQL queries in response to data reporting and analytic requests, and build clear intuitive dashboards (e.g., such as in BI tools like Amplitude, Mode, Tableau, PowerBI or in Google Sheets) that make business-relevant insights easily accessible to the team and guide great business decisionsExperimentation: Act as a thought partner for designing experiments to test hypotheses and inform decision-makingPrioritization: Focus on high-impact analyses that move the business forward, balancing speed and accuracy, including being able to produce a "day 1" answer and clearly identify how any additional work on refinement of your quick cut answer would improve the business decisionStakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the company to understand their needs, deliver insights that drive action, and make connections between the insights and your business recommendationYour Skills & Experience
You have 5+ years of experience in an analytics role focused on data analytics that includes exposure to Marketing, Product, and/or Finance teamsYou are a fast learner who knows how to educate yourself on new topicsYour background shows you can analyze large amounts of data across different sources, either through real-world experience, bootcamps, or your formal schoolingProficiency in SQL, Google Sheets, and data visualization tools, with a focus on creating clear, impactful reliable reports and ad hoc analyses.
