Our practice areas encompass a wide range of issues, including discrimination, harassment, disciplinary actions, and other claims. Reporting directly to the founding attorney, Shaun Southworth, the Director of Operations will serve as the operational backbone of the firm. This role demands a highly organized and driven individual who can translate strategic visions into actionable operational plans, ensuring every aspect of the firm runs smoothly and effectively. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency, managing KPIs, and overseeing staff, while fostering a client-centric approach that ensures high levels of satisfaction.

What you'll do:

KPI Management:

Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic objectives.Regularly analyze KPI data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance efficiency and productivity.Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on KPI performance for leadership and stakeholders.Operational Strategy:

Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies that support the firm's growth and objectives.Create and maintain detailed process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency.Oversee performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.Implement effective project management methodologies to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Technology Optimization:

Evaluate and optimize the firm's technology systems, including MyCase, Clio Grow, and other relevant software.Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency through technology integration and automation.Provide training and support to staff on the effective use of technology tools.Financial Oversight:

Conduct regular financial reviews and analyses.Manage vendor contracts to optimize costs and ensure value.Implement cost-control measures and optimize resource allocation.Training and Development:

Design and deliver engaging onboarding programs for new employees, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed in their roles.Develop and implement ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance employee skills and promote continuous learning.Identify training needs and create tailored programs to address skill gaps and support career growth.Client Experience:

Champion a client-centric approach throughout the firm's operations, ensuring client satisfaction is a top priority.Develop and implement strategies to enhance the client experience at every touchpoint.Gather and analyze client feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.Leadership and Team Management:

Provide effective leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, high performance, and mutual respect.Support the team's professional development and create opportunities for growth.Effectively manage team dynamics and ensure a positive and productive work environment, especially during the firm's expansion to Washington D.C.Project Oversight:

Manage and oversee all operational projects, from daily tasks to long-term initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with the firm's strategic goals.Develop project plans, track progress, and ensure timely execution and successful completion of all projects.Effectively manage resources and budgets to optimize project outcomes.Expansion Management:

Play a key role in the firm's expansion efforts, particularly with the opening of the D.C. office.Oversee the logistical and operational aspects of the expansion, ensuring a smooth transition and seamless integration of operations across both locations.Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to develop and implement expansion strategies that support the firm's growth objectives.What we're looking for:

Operational Excellence:

3-5 years of experience in operations, preferably in a law firm, with a proven track record of managing daily operations, KPIs, and staff.Dedicated to achieving operational excellence and promoting mindfulness and empathy.Strategic Leadership:

Deep understanding of the legal industry and proven leadership experience.Excels at leading strategic initiatives, motivating teams, and driving performance in a fast-paced environment.Performance Management:

Adept at developing, implementing, and analyzing KPIs to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Strong financial management skills.Client Focus:
