Instruction, Assessment, and Intervention
JOB SUMMARY : The Management Systems Administrator provides technology support services to staff in the student information system (SIS) and financial management information systems (FMS) within the schools and throughout the district as required. Responsible for the District's PIMS submissions. Assist school staff with the maintenance, operation, and use of computing technologies as they specifically relate to financial management, student management, and transportation systems.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Some of the responsibilities are listed below. The complete job description is available per request)
Serve as the support person for FMS, SIS, PIMS, and Transportation system. Help users with overall operations and problem resolution for these database applications.Maintain a problem log that tracks all issues from inception to close. Analyze patterns and make recommendations on appropriate action.Create and manage student information system accounts for administrators, teachers, and other staff.Verifies that proper access levels are assigned.Help with yearly scheduling process at the schools. Set up courses and sections for teachers at the elementary schools and secondary schools as requested.Coordinate and perform the end-of-year processes to prepare SIS and for the fiscal year and tax year within the FMS.Provide technical support to district staff on any SIS issues.Provide support to the school secretaries and school administrators in generating reports, reviewing reports, maintaining PIMS data in information systems, and in meeting reporting deadlines.Responsible for the administration and oversight of the PIMS reporting to PDE.Serve as a problem-solver in data processing and as a resource person/consultant in assisting staff with utilizing database systems.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Management Services and/or the Director of Information Technology for Instruction, Assessment, and Intervention.
QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree in related field. Three to five years of experience with information database systems preferred. Experience with Cognos report writing, or equivalent report writing software. Knowledge of various computer hardware and software, specifically Microsoft software programs. Experience with K-12 educational institution preferred.
