If you want to work with the most talented people on Earth furthering space exploration for humanity, come join us.Vast is looking for a Senior Demand Planner, reporting to the Manager, Demand Planning, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location. Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with engineering and integration teams to determine the required materials and quantities to support production schedules and integration timelines; includes but is not limited to, leading BOM maturityServe as the lead in identifying and assessing the impact of shortages while incorporating viable and achievable work-arounds that mitigate the effect of shortagesDevelop, manage, and maintain accurate BOM records within ERP/MES systemProvide source of truth in clear to build discussionsCreation and utilization of commodity and part lead times to improve design release process Facilitate make versus buy decisions based on business need date and resource allocationBuild and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders including supply chain, engineering and mission managementDevelop performance measures to clearly illustrate actions, risks and opportunitiesMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Business or Engineering discipline5+ years experience with demand planning in a manufacturing environmentExperience with different manufacturing states of hardwareLead scheduling discussions with multiple stakeholders and customersPreferred Skills & Experience:Significant experience working with BOMs and understands how they integrate with overall systems (ERP/MRP)Demonstrated familiarity with program/project management and managing associated schedulesAbility to make independent judgments with limited informationLogical and strategic approach to solving problemsComfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic directionAdditional Requirements:Ability to travel up to 20% of the timeWillingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestonesPay Ranges:L2: $96,000 - $114,000L3: $115,000 - $139,000Salary Range: California$96,600-$139,000 USDCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSBase salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
