Imagine One is currently seeking multiple candidates for positions supporting the U.S. Navy at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). We are looking for
VMware Engineer
to provide engineering support. Work will be on-site at Naval Air Station Oceana Dam Neck, Virginia Beach, Virginia. The
VMware Engineer
must have ability to travel up to 15 percent.Responsibilities for VMware Engineer:Supports virtualization-based O&M tasking of deployed operational Infrastructure solutions backed by Citrix, Microsoft, NetApp, Nutanix, Veeam, and VMwareConduct technical investigations of customer reported issuesCollaborate with customer engineers and other VMware 3rd-party resources to investigate customer reported issuesProvide input on product direction, design, and developmentPerform root cause analysis of customer reported issuesParticipate in design decisionsContribute to product documentation and manualsProvide assistance in product training, customer meetings, and speaking engagementsParticipate in and participate in product release planningDesired Qualifications for VMware Engineer:
US Navy ship system experience and understanding -specifically in virtualizing Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systemsStrongly desired to hold advanced certifications in a technical area, such as CCNA, NCAP, CISSP, VCP, NCDA, CCA, RHCSA, Azure Fundamentals, or similarDemonstrated experience implementing, operating, tuning, optimizing, and maintaining solutions to provide virtualization, storage, data protection, and networking services for enterprise level consumersDemonstrated experience leveraging vendor-provided best practices, systems, applications, and services to regularly patch and upgrade solutionsExpert knowledge of vSphere and vCloud Director; experience with ESXi, vCenter and vMotionExpert knowledge of best practice VMware deployment techniquesMinimum Experience Qualifications for VMware Engineer:
Shall have five or more years of hands-on experience providing progressively complex Enterprise IT administration or engineering support in one or more of the following areas: virtualized environments, servers, cybersecurity, endpoints, and/or networksDemonstrated ability to understand and apply complex technical conceptsDemonstrated experience operating and maintaining enterprise-level technologies, such as Microsoft, VMware, Nutanix, NetApp, RHEL, Citrix, Cisco, or similarDemonstrated experience operating and maintaining solutions in secure processing environments that utilize Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)Shall meet the Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) System Administrator (451); Intermediate Level for SECNAV M-5239.2 complianceEducation Requirements for VMware Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field or equivalent experienceCompTIA Security+ CEGIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)Security Requirements for VMware Engineer:
ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI DoD Clearance
