This position serves as the Security Engineering Manager responsible for creating a Best in Class Cybersecurity Program for the State of Illinois and lead the departmental efforts in progressing and directing security initiatives throughout the enterprise. DoIT security is a NIST based organization using a variety of state-of-the-art tools. The successful candidate must possess managerial cybersecurity experience, be highly analytical and professional, communicate effectively, and possess excellent organizational skills.
Essential Functions
Subject to management approval, serves as the SecurityEngineering Managerfor the Department of Innovation & Technology (DolT).
Serves as technical resource for division and agencyinitiatives related to security engineering.
Plans, develops, and implements sensitive and highly confidential security standards and policies across multiple platforms.
Serves as full-line supervisor.
Supports integration efforts by providing security education, guidance, and consulting on applicationsolutions, services, and standards.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the dutiesenumerated above.
