CTG is seeking to fill a Program Manager II opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Location: Buffalo, NY

Duration: 6 months

Overview:

The Program Manager II will oversee a collection of projects and programs within the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. This role involves managing project scope, schedule, and costs, as well as facilitating communication among stakeholders and team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage multiple projects/programs, ensuring clarity in objectives and roles for all team members.

Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures and resource allocation.

Collaborate with project managers to monitor costs, schedules, and technical performance.

Communicate project plans to stakeholders to set expectations and align efforts.

Execute project plans and manage budgets, controlling project work and implementing change controls.

Measure project performance, addressing variances and taking corrective actions as needed.

Enhance team performance through mentoring, training, and motivating team members.

Adhere to company risk and regulatory standards, designing and maintaining internal controls.

Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment that reflects the M&T Bank brand.

Complete additional related duties as assigned.

Exercise managerial authority in staffing and performance evaluations.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Responsible for the management of high-priority projects with a scope of $5 million or more, involving a team of 20+ directly and up to 100+ indirectly. This role encompasses all project aspects from initiation to closure, requiring familiarity with project objectives and team roles.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

Directly manage a team of 20+ individuals.

Oversee project teams of 100+ on a project basis.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of proven project management experience,OR

A combined minimum of 14 years of higher education and/or work experience, including 10 years of project management experience.

Proficiency in relevant software and strong knowledge of project management methodologies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to negotiate and gain consensus.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under time constraints.

Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships within and outside the organization.

Education and Experience Preferred:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.

Master’s degree.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
