We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Collector to join our team. This role involves collecting data on power poles, including attachment heights and power communication details, using specialized software. The successful candidate will travel daily within the greater Raleigh area to complete data collection tasks safely, accurately, and promptly.
Responsibilities
Collect data on power poles, including attachment heights and power communication details.
Utilize software (Katapult) to gather pole heights, midspan information, and other relevant data.
Travel daily within the greater Raleigh area.
Complete data collection tasks safely, accurately, and promptly.
Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and the public in a courteous manner.
Upload and download collected data using computer systems as trained.
Operate and maintain company equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow company and departmental safety rules and procedures.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Essential Skills
Ability to collect data on power poles, including attachment heights and power communication details.
Proficiency in utilizing software (Katapult) to gather pole heights, midspan information, and other relevant data.
Ability to complete data collection tasks safely, accurately, and promptly.
Effective communication skills for interaction with team members, customers, and the public.
Proficiency in uploading and downloading collected data using computer systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new computer software efficiently.
Willingness to submit to a Motor Vehicle Record check.
Work Environment
Work outdoors in different weather conditions, such as rain, heat, and humidity. Ensure the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
