We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Collector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting data on power poles, including attachment heights and power communication details, using specialized software. This position requires daily travel within the greater Raleigh area and adherence to strict safety and accuracy standards.
Responsibilities
Collect data on power poles, including attachment heights and power communication details.
Utilize software (Katapult) to gather pole heights, midspan information, and other relevant data.
Travel daily within the greater Raleigh area.
Complete data collection tasks safely, accurately, and promptly.
Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and the public in a courteous manner.
Upload and download collected data using computer systems as trained.
Operate and maintain company equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow company and departmental safety rules and procedures.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Essential Skills
Experience in data collection and surveying.
Proficiency in using software like Katapult.
Ability to complete data collection tasks safely, accurately, and promptly.
Strong communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and the public.
Ability to upload and download data using computer systems.
Skill in operating and maintaining equipment safely.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new computer software efficiently.
Willingness to submit to a Motor Vehicle Record check.
Work Environment
Work primarily outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, heat, and humidity. The role requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
