Labcorp is recruiting a Development Manager Data Services: API Management & Integration for a dynamic team in either RTP, NC or Burlington, NC.

Corporate IT is actively searching for an experienced Manager with a background in Healthcare, for a Data Engineering Development team. The candidate will manage a development team and build business solutions and data services to support external and internal customers. The ideal candidate will serve as the technical point person, working closely with product managers, business liaisons, and development teams to advance the product technology and business roadmap. They will be engaged in a wide variety of work, including but not limited to web applications and web service development, platform development, automation, and coaching/mentoring of teams adopting the platforms. The role will include dealing with complex business integrations, eliciting requirements, and implementing secure and high-performance applications across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Lead a group of API and Integration developers in delivering large and complex API and integration solutions.

Leads technical design planning, and API architecting, manages technical implementation, addresses technical concerns, ideas, and suggestions

Collaborate with the business to create a strategy and roadmap for API management that includes features like API proxies, mashups, rate limits, security, and analytics.

Interact with the business team, understand the SLAs, and supervise the service team to support and maintain the infrastructures

Analyzes, reviews, and provides feedback to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.

Research information on new, emerging technologies and methods in API management & Integration and provide architectural and design inputs.

Standardize the CI/CD setup for API management tools and automated deployment.

Conduct code reviews and coach developers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in building and productionizing high-performing and scalable services/applications involving a high volume of data processing within a software product development environment, preferably in the health care industry

Requirements:

Prior or current experience with Java, SQL, and Python

Hands-on experience in designing and developing high-volume web services using API Protocols and Data Formats (REST, JSON, SOAP & XML).

Experience working with FHIR, HL7 formats

6 years of development experience using Java or .NET, XML, JSP or ASP, JavaScript or VB Script and Node.js; WSDL/SOAP/XML and REST/JSON or equivalent.

Significant experience designing, deploying and supporting production cloud environments, such as Azure Services or Amazon Web Services (AWS) or private cloud environments.

Proven working experience as a data expert or expertise in data models, database management, data mining, and segmentation techniques

Strong Big Data processing experience with Spark, Databricks, etc.

Problem-solving aptitude, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced product development environment and a hands-on mentality to do whatever it takes to deliver a successful product.

Strong leader, with effective communication, and collaboration across multiple organizations

Proven ability and responsibility in managing teams of a minimum of 8-10 direct reports.

Understanding data standardization practices in the healthcare domain, integrating Healthcare data, and security related to HIPAA is a plus.
