We seek an experienced and highly motivated Financial Controller to join our team. This role is crucial not only for managing the company's financial health but also for driving strategic growth initiatives and supporting business development. As the Financial Controller, you will lead our finance department and work closely with leadership to identify and seize new business opportunities that align with our financial strategy.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations : Oversee all financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and reliability in every transaction.Financial Reporting : Prepare and present accurate, timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports to inform strategic decision-making.Budgeting & Forecasting : Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts in partnership with department heads, making adjustments as needed to align with evolving company goals.Financial Analysis : Conduct ongoing analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.Compliance : Ensure adherence to GAAP standards, tax regulations, and other financial reporting requirements, safeguarding the company's financial integrity.Month-End & Year-End Closings : Manage closing processes, reconciliations, and journal entries to maintain up-to-date financial records.Audit Coordination : Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, overseeing audit processes to ensure transparency and accuracy.Internal Controls : Implement and maintain robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure data integrity.Strategic Financial Guidance : Provide financial insights and risk assessments to support key decisions and long-term planning.Business Development Support : Collaborate with business development teams to assess financial viability for new ventures, partnerships, and acquisitions.Growth Metrics : Track and analyze key financial metrics that support revenue generation and business expansion goals.Qualifications:
CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in fiscal management, within the machinery manufacturing industry.Proven experience with financial systems administration and optimization.Strong knowledge of GAAP, and financial regulations.Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software industries AccountMate, Deacom, and Global Shop.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time on-site in-office position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
