*Job Summary:* The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions within Anderson Coach & Travel. This key role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintains internal controls, and provides financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The Controller will manage the Accounting department, including month-end closing processes, preparation of financial statements, and reporting to the company's owners.

*Key Responsibilities:** *Financial Management:** Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.* Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes for 3 operating companies and 11 ancillary companies.* Generate balance sheets and income statements for individual companies and combined entities.* Maintain internal controls to ensure effective financial operations and compliance.* Manage cash flow, including daily balance, reconciliation of accounts, and cash forecasting.* *Budgeting and Forecasting:** Lead the annual budgeting process, including preparation, review, and presentation of budgets.* Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and long-term planning.* Provide variance analysis and financial insights to support business decisions.* Update annual projection spreadsheets and provide necessary financial analysis for strategic planning.* *Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including tax reporting and filings.* Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and address audit findings.* Prepare and file annual reports such as Ohio Sales Tax, CAT Tax, IFTA, PA REV-642, IRS Form 8849, and Canada Fuel Charge.* Manage annual renewals and compliance filings for various operational licenses and registrations.* *Team Leadership:** Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.* Assign duties, review work for accuracy, and ensure adherence to accounting standards and procedures.* Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.* *Financial Analysis and Reporting:** Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the owners.* Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.* Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.* Support management with sales analysis reports and executive summaries.* *Payroll Management:** Oversee payroll processes, including verification of payroll records and calculation of bonuses.* Ensure timely submission of payroll-related filings such as 401(k) compliance, ACA hours, and Worker's Compensation reports.* *Insurance and Benefits:** Manage employee benefits, including health, vision, dental, and life insurance enrollments and renewals.* Handle COBRA notifications for terminated employees and ensure compliance with all benefit-related regulations.* *Operational Support:** Manage vehicle and facility registrations and renewals, including fleet management and insurance documentation.* Oversee compliance with industry-specific regulations, including annual inspections and reporting requirements.* Coordinate with external title clerks and manage any issues related to vehicle registrations and titles.* *Special Projects and Miscellaneous Duties:** Attend 20 Group meetings and prepare necessary financial presentations and reports.* Handle quarterly and annual government and industry surveys.* Maintain corporate fleet listings and handle motorcoach apportioned vehicle registration.* Support executive management with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
*Qualifications:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.* CPA or CMA certification highly desirable.* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.* Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Strong leadership and team management abilities.* Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial planning software.* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to adapt, learn, and master industry-specific software

Pay: $65,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
