This position involves participating in project planning phases, developing feasibility and cost-benefit analysis reports, transitioning projects from concept to execution, and capturing requirements. The consultant will also facilitate stakeholder sessions and serve as a liaison for business departments.Location : Baltimore, MD (hybrid)What You'll Do:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Software Development Life Cycle, Requirement Lifecycle, and Requirement Management, including the following:
Participate in the preliminary planning phase and develop business case and concept proposals.Produce project feasibility and cost-benefit analysis reports.Transition projects from ideas to chartered status.Capture and document requirements through stakeholder analysis.Facilitate large group elicitation sessions and manage requirements using JIRA or requirement management applications.Provide client support, consultation for IT issues, and recommendations for IT solutions.Deliver informative presentations and perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience.Understanding of the Business Analyst Book of Knowledge (BABOK).Previous experience in leading and supporting efforts using SDLC, Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.One of the following certifications: Business Analyst CBAP (The IIBA.org) Certification, PMI BA Certification, Scrum Certification, or equivalent certification.Prior experience and expertise in at least four of the following types of systems: Asset Management System, Budget System, Document Management System, Financial System, Infrastructure Support, Maintenance Management, Management Reporting, Procurement Systems, Project/Program/Portfolio Management Systems, Business Process Improvement.What's Desired to Have:
Previous experience supporting federal or state agencies, especially MDTA, is highly desired.Salary:
$110,000 and $130,000 annually depending on skills and experience with full-time benefits and a discretionary bonus.
