As the Product Manager for Ceiling Systems, you will:
Be the expert for ceiling system products, serving as a resource for distributors
Serve as a liaison between Skytron and our suppliers within the product category, maintaining frequent communication related to custom product specifications
Discover the voice of the customer, develop differentiation or added-value for products, and analyze financial opportunities for Skytron and our distributors
Assess and develop key relationships to bring solutions to market in alignment with Skytron's product strategy and roadmap
Negotiate price structures to support Skytron's partnering philosophy, values, and profit targets
Manage the product development process for the assigned product category, ensuring process and quality are maintained
Plan and lead the product launch process, working closely with key departments, including Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Sales
Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure integration and a cohesive story throughout Skytron's product portfolio
Develop sales tools, training content, and collateral information
Manage applicable product databases, including product history records, manuals, and parts setup
Provide custom quote creation, RFP responses, and Opportunity Management Center requests
Support national and international distribution and supplier partners through email, phone, video communication, and personal visits
For success in this role, you will:
Capably handle required administrative functions
Verify work to ensure accurate results, requiring minimal rework
Demonstrate a desire to assist others, promoting positive behavior to internal and external customers
Meet productivity standards
Devise workable solutions to challenges
Be internally motivated and work well with minimal supervision
Listen to others, expressing ideas, both orally and in writing
Possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical, clinical, or business management experience
Be able to read and analyze construction drawings, making recommendations as needed
Have previous general contractor or hospital construction experience (strongly desired)
Have a minimum of 4 years of experience and demonstrated success in product management or similar function
Be willing to travel up to 20% of the time
Be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
