Overview

The Brand Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, family-owned global company that is a leader in the floor-care industry. The candidate will play a vital role in the development and implementation of global product innovation and marketing strategy on one of BISSELL's fast growing and strategically important businesses. This Brand Manager role will lead the Wash Consumables category, working closely with other functions to develop, launch, and commercialize new products, while also supporting BISSELL's strategically important licensing relationship with Procter & Gamble. They will lead consumer insights work to shape the future innovation road-map for the category. This role will experience the thrill of taking products from idea all the way through to launching in markets around the world, owning everything from success criteria, claims, and product specs to channel management strategy and retailer sell-in. This position requires experience in product development & go-to-market strategy for consumer products, and a BA/BS in marketing or related field of study. Candidates must demonstrate proven experience with consumer program development, line extension development and sales, as well as leadership of cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Position Profile:Identifies and defines consumer needs for all development programs with the partnership of marketing research department. Champions the voice of the consumer across all projects and adapts to different regions' consumer needs.Develop, implement, execute and manage new product global launches and maintain existing product lines.Lead for category innovation projects. Represents the voice of marketing, sales, and consumer services to R&D, finance, manufacturing and the related GPD teams.In conjunction with the category director and sales, develops portfolio objectives, channel management, and distribution strategies. Works with key accounts to develop and improve BISSELL's portfolio in-store productivity, gross profit and assists in maximizing customer satisfaction.Develops a 3yr innovation pipeline for the category in partnership with the cross-functional team, device partners, Global partners, and P&G licensing partners.Analyzes, tracks and measures sales and share data to identify insights to drive business performance including post-launch KPIs with clear action plans to improve innovation performance.Monitors competitive strategic and tactical activities. Develops appropriate global strategies and/or new launches.Develops and delivers compelling selling presentations, including product demonstrations, in partnership with sales & chemistry partners to gain and expand distribution across retailers.Supports the strategically important licensing relationship with Procter & Gamble for all categories. Supports quarterly royalty reports, annual business review, licensed product & content approvals, and monthly updates with licensing agency Beanstalk.Ability to communicate effectively with top management, project team members, manufacturing suppliers, and all other associates. Strong executive presence to communicate clear category vision to retailers and executive team.Works closely with other product business unit team members, including device marketers & Global partners, and other support groups to meet timelines and budget objectives.Is available for marketing and sales projects as needed.Understands and is held accountable for all the category's goals (including profitability). Develops and executes tactical initiatives and implements strategy to meet or exceed these goals.Leads the Annual Plan and Update development process. Leads media and promotion planning process. Leads Budget process for category.Responsible for the development and coaching of people (2 Associates).May be required to perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
