Auto Liability Claims Adjuster

to join our community. In this role, you will be responsible for intermediate level claims adjusting that provides outstanding service to all customers while thoroughly investigating, evaluating, negotiating auto liability claims without bodily injury.

What You'll Be Doing:Effectively manage fluctuating workload, with moderate supervision, while maintaining focus on claims quality and customer experience.Investigate loss facts promptly, including the gathering of physical evidence, to make accurate and timely liability decisions with guidance.Issue timely claims payments with a low to moderate level of claims payment authority; present files outside of authority level for review and approval.Occasional CAT duty as needed.Translate liability and damage evaluations into meaningful negotiation plans.Collaborate with other internal departments in recognizing and referring claims involving SIU, subrogation, auto physical damage, and total loss.Build rapport with policyholders, customers, agents, carriers, attorneys, vendors, contractors, and repair technicians to facilitate prompt and accurate claim resolution.Apply case and statutory law in the proactive adjustment of low to moderately complex auto liability claims.Accurately interpret coverage using intermediate level contract, regulatory and compliance knowledge, following company file handling procedures.Demonstrate behaviors consistent with PEMCO's policies, values, code of ethics and business conduct.Authentically support the PEMCO Brand and constantly are on the lookout for top talent to join us to achieve our Mission to Worry Less and Live More.Other duties as assigned.What You'll Bring:

B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience (business or related field)3 years of experience in claims roles, including prior experience with low to moderately complex liability claims is required.Insurance industry designations or certifications preferred.MS Office : Skilled proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook is required.Customer First : Has a relentless focus on the customer and dives deep into the challenges they face with a strong customer service orientation.Problem Solver : Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve complex unstructured problems quickly, efficiently, and collaboratively.Composure : Remains calm, maintains perspective and responds in a professional timely manner, when faced with tough situations. Compensation:

The pay range for this role is shown below. Compensation decisions are determined based on an individual's qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Greater Seattle area target pay range: $68,757-$84,037. The full pay range is $57,298-$95,496.Outside greater Seattle area target pay range: $60,680-$74,164. The full pay range is $50,567-$84,277.Greater Seattle Area is defined as working within approximately 100 miles of Seattle.

Outside Greater Seattle is defined as working approximately 100 miles or more from Seattle.

Regular part-time PEMCO employees working at least 24 hours per week and regular full-time PEMCO employees are eligible to elect coverage under medical, dental, and vision plans for themselves and their eligible family members with generous employer premium cost shares. Vacation accrues at a rate of 10 days for new hires, and increases based on a schedule to a maximum annual accrual of 25 days based on tenure.Granted four (4) personal days immediately upon hire.Paid holidays for the eight (8) holidays observed by PEMCO throughout the calendar year.Granted up to ten (10) days of sick leave immediately upon hire (pro-rated based on hire date and full-time/part-time status), which is approximately 28 hours more per year than the Washington state-required accrual.In addition, PEMCO provides paid time off for bereavement, jury duty, and employee volunteering in the community.Other miscellaneous benefit programs offered by PEMCO include:
