Job Description

The System Administrator III is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting our IT infrastructure. They work closely with various cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance, security and reliability, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. This is a full-time position with hybrid and on-site opportunities available.

Responsibilities:Administering, installing, and troubleshooting a variety of operating systemsPerforming systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenanceScheduling, installing, and testing system software upgradesConfiguring software and resolving technical problemsMonitoring system performance and ensuring the reliability and availability of critical servicesManaging user accounts, permissions and access controls in accordance with security policiesDeveloping and maintaining documentation for system configurations, processes and proceduresCollaborating with cross-functional teams to support application deployment and troubleshootingProviding mentorship to junior system administratorsStaying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance system performanceAssisting in developing and enforcing IT policies and proceduresRequirements:

4-7 years of experience in IT (system, network, or database administration)Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, or LinuxKnowledge of configuration management tools (Active Directory, JAMF, MDM, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc)Working knowledge of virtualization (VMware or equivalent)Experience with scripting and automation tools a plusSystem administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plusMust be able to come into the office as needed

$105,000 - $125,000 a year

Pay

Based on the Sacramento region, the new hires target salary for this role is $105k - $125k.

Inductive Automation's ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Although it is not typical for an individual to start at the top end of the range for the position, compensation decisions are dependent on: the facts and circumstances of each case, work location, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs.
