Our client in the financial services industry is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the enterprise data asset application team that supports extensive regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in big data technologies and a proven track record of automating reporting processes.

Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Pay Range: $67.43-75/hour

What's the Job?

Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data integration solutions using Spark, Hadoop, and Scala.

Work on complex data transformation processes to support regulatory reporting and visibility requirements.

Collaborate within a small team, taking initiative and demonstrating self-sufficiency without extensive hand-holding.

Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data quality and integrity.

Engage in the automation of reporting processes, delivering timely insights to stakeholders.

What's Needed?

Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on big data technologies.

Proficiency in Spark, Hadoop, and Scala.

Experience with complex data transformations and integrations in large-scale environments.

Strong problem-solving skills, especially in data engineering challenges.

Financial Services (FS) background is preferred.
