Safety Manager - Pharmaceuticals - Ohio - 12-Month Contract
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Safety Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.Manage the day-to-day activities of the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.Review and approve construction plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and change orders.Participate in regular meetings with project team members to provide updates on project status, milestones, and issues resolution.Assist in the evaluation and selection of contractors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project objectives and budgetary constraints.Support commissioning and startup activities, including equipment testing, validation, and qualification.Qualifications:
Experience associated with large scale projects for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.Extensive experience developing and managing safety programs in all project stages from design, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, and handover to end-user.Experience evaluating complex processes and completing hazop evaluations.Bachelor of Science in engineering or equivalent.
