Position PurposeThe Program Manager for Strategic Initiatives and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) will play a dual role in advancing organizational goals within higher education, research, and clinical settings. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in strategic planning and a commitment to promoting DEIB in academic, research, or clinical settings. The Program Manager will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives while simultaneously leading efforts to foster an inclusive and equitable environment within our institution. This position will focus on planning and delivery of programming efforts as it relates to Strategic Initiatives and DEIB in cancer.
DescriptionThis position offers a unique opportunity to shape strategic initiatives while driving meaningful DEIB efforts in impactful areas of higher education and rural cancer research. Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs ExpBachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and AbilitiesQualifications:
Bachelor's degree or combination of experience and education in Business Administration, Education, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, with a focus on strategic initiatives and DEIB.Experience with a rural populations will be helpful, but is not required.Proven experience in higher education, cancer research, or related fields is preferred.Demonstrated ability to formulate, initiate and execute programs custom- designed to address complex institutional and multi-institutional priorities.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, students, researchers, and clinicians.Demonstrated ability to effect change.
Skills:
Strong program management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.In-depth knowledge of DEIB current principles and best practices.Ability to analyze complex data and present actionable insights.High level of organizational and time management skills.Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional communication and presentation abilities.Ability to work collaboratively toward innovative solutions in highly stressful environments.Flexible, diplomatic, inclusive leadership style and ability to work productively with contacts at all levels and in multiple cultures.
