About the Position

As our Training Supervisor in the Human Resource division, you'll oversee the Assessor's Office employee development team and programs. This position assesses office-wide training needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. You'll act as a training resource for divisions within the organization by collaborating with subject matter experts and members of all leadership levels.

Three years of experience designing, developing, and delivering training and/or organizational development programsBachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or a related fieldAn equivalent combination of post-secondary education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basisWe Also Value

Supervisor and/or leadership experienceExperience leading a training teamExperience with various learning modalities, e.g., classroom, web-based, mobile devices, etc.Possession of DOR Level I and Level II certificationsJob Contributions

Supports office-wide efforts related to employee development by collaborating with organizational leaders, conducting skill assessments, and other related efforts that will contribute to the expansion of employee skills, knowledge, and abilities toward their positions and/or new technologyEnsures a motivated, developed, and effective training team by embracing a One Team culture the organization has adopted and provided guidance, mentoring, direction, and open communication related to their performance, expectations, and development of their skills and goalsDesigns course curriculum and implements plans to support the growth of team members and division capabilities by conducting formal and informal assessments related to knowledge, skills, and abilitiesWorks with the training team to create a curriculum and plans to meet these needs and priorities with clear measures and outcomesEnsures the tracking and maintenance of records related to office-wide positions that are required to obtain licenses and/or certificationsEnsures mandated courses are available to team members for Continued Education Units (CEUs). Oversees the license/certification enrollment process for employees, and reviews status reports related to enrollment, CEU requirements, and other training mandates to ensure the completion of continued education needs for positionsOversees the recording and coordination of necessary travel related to continued education and training for all positionsIn conjunction with division leaders, creates personalized employee development plans or processes to assist in employee performance management effortsEnhances the use of training technology and methods by staying current on best practices, methods, software, tools and recommending acquisition and implementation to support an effective training deliveryWorking Conditions
