We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Printing Supervisor (2nd shift) to join our team and support our daily print operations of a client of ours located in Paterson, NJ. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supervising our Print Operations and ensuring efficient processes. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Job Summary: We are a Litho-Laminated box manufacturer in Paterson, NJ. We are seeking a Printing Department Supervsior for our 2nd shift (3:00PM- 12:00AM, Monday-Friday). This position is responsible for the overall production process of the department and the supervision of the Printing and Sheeting Dept. personnel.Essential Job Functions
Supervise and manage press production, personnel, quality processes, and equipment for pressroom on second shift; anticipate problems before they occur to minimize downtime.Search for options to decrease costs, maximize efficiency, and reduce set-up timesCoordinate work flow, and monitor and maximize pressroom qualityMaintain department production and waste-control targetsManage and control inventory of departmental suppliesAssist press crews with print production problemsReport equipment problems to maintenance department for repairsMaintain and confirm all requirements for company's FSSC 22000 certificationObserve and report safety issues within the department and plantAssist dept. manager with vacation scheduling, sick/personal time coverage, hiring and firingMaintain and train personnel for department and company procedures.Coordinate print specifications with Graphics Dept. Manager to meet and maintain G7 standardsManage Sheeting Dept. by working with inventory coordinator and scheduler to meet Printing Dept. production goalsResponsible for Sheeting Dept. production and personnel
Job Qualifications
Minimum 5 years KBA/Heidelberg press experience. Preferably Large Format Press 7-ColorMinimum 3 years work experience in a supervisor roleMinimum 3 years of work experience and knowledge of spectrophotometry and lab color measurementKnowledge of FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 requirementsStrong leadership and communication skillsBilingual English-Spanish preferredSalary 70-90kAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
