DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYOur Product Manager is a key part of the Plastics Team. This role plays a pivotal role in leading product strategy, development, and production of new products for Liberty Plastic's. They will manage the product roadmap by working to strategically manage and develop products for both business channels: Custom Fabricated and Building Products. The Product Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, marketing, and sales to ensure the successful delivery and growth of our products.This full-time position will report to the Sales Manager of Liberty Plastics and is located in Baldwyn, MS.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDrive new product development projects from idea to implementation. Ensuring that customer requirements are met, and that schedule and financial targets are achieved.Develop cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements based on production parametersWork with Sales, Marketing and Production teams to effectively launch new products strongly and successfully while providing clear direction regarding other day-to-day product management tasksEngage with customers, partners, and industry experts to gather insights and validate product concepts.Identify unmet customer needs and growth opportunitiesDevelop and maintain a product roadmap that reflects customer needs, market trends, and business priorities.Provide CAD design of multi-part productsAssist in building samples or protypes for internal refinement and shipment for customers for approvalLead the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, including ideation, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and release.Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.Collaborate with engineering and test functions to ensure appropriate design criteria and test plan for quality and lowest warranty.Partner with the Manufacturing team to test new product ideas, manage new product production needs, and work to solve issues as they come up.Manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely delivery.Monitor product performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.Create new parts and setup in ERP system to allow scheduling and productionCreating product specifications for production to produce and validate productsSet up POs for items purchased from outside vendors and processing invoicesOther duties as assigned.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field3+ years of product management experienceExperience and deep understanding of the market, customer needs, and product development processes.Proven track record of managing successful products from concept to launch.Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong understanding of product development processes and methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.Strong skills in leadership, data analysis, and strategic thinking are essential.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.Works well as a team player, who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives, and as an individual contributor.The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSMaster of Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or Computer ScienceExperience in corrugated plasticsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
