DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYAs a Sr. Supervisor Warehouse/Shipping with Liberty Packaging, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team in a multi-shift logistics operation to include shipping, receiving, and warehousing. This position is a key owner of the day-to-day operations. Duties will include working with employees providing constructive feedback and coaching, organizing workflow, and analyzing the efficiency of the logistics process.This position reports to the Plant Manager and is located at our Phoenix, AZ, facility.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead department or work center teams through the utilization of an observation-based safety program. Communicate safety initiatives through leading team safety huddles where you coach and recognize safe practices and behaviors. Support site safety investigations and resolution.Ownership of the logistics process by managing the day-to-day which consists of coordinating placement of employees, providing work direction to employees, monitoring of shipping and receiving process, and leading teams throughproblem-solving any issues.Optimize the performance of your team by providing consistent performance feedback and recognition while removing obstacles while ensuring internal policies andprocedures are followed.Utilize strong problem-solving skills in day-to-day interactions with employees to resolve conflicts and improve relationships within working groups, engaging human resources and leadership on escalated issues.Proactively escalate issues to key stakeholders in internal departments to minimize the risk ofon-time delivery.Maintain accurate records and manage inventories with emphasis on cycle counting, inventory accuracy, and inventory resolution. Manage weekly, quarterly, and yearly inventory cycle count procedures and drive best practices for sustainability. Oversee inventory controls, returns, product damage, material transactions, and inventory balances.Develop standard work for current warehouse, shipping, manufacturing, and ERP technology; ensure staff are trained on processes. Identify and execute opportunities to optimize the use of existing technology.Collect and analyze data to identify trends, communicate positive performance with other areas to foster a continuous improvement mindset, and develop paths for improvement.Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution5+ years' warehouse/shipping experience3+ years of people leadership experiencein warehouse, shipping, or receiving environmentPrevious experience leading projects or initiativesExperience developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers and vendorsProficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, PivotTables, conditional formatting)Experience in effectively managing time and competing prioritiesMust be able to work weekends, as necessaryPREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSBachelor's Degree preferredExperience with industry-specific software (Amtech, JD Edwards, CTI, DataServ)Experience in corrugated and / or packaging industryExperience presenting information to senior leadership and / or executive teamsExperience preparing and maintaining departmental budgetsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
