Senior Product Manager

Opportunity
Responsible for development, profitability, growth and maintenance of the residential and light commercial product lines related to delivering amps. This includes strategic market and financial planning, competitive analyses, product development plans, product specifications, pricing strategy, cross functional project management, cost reductions, sales forecasting and aftermarket product support. Works closely with Design Engineering and Channel Management to improve competitive position and increase market share.
1. Analyze, identify and aggressively target growth opportunities in the residential and light commercial market related to new products delivering amps(ie generators, clean energy, etc.)
2. Conduct market research to identify key accelerators and inhibitors to growth based on consumer needs and trends. Perform voice of customer research and understand channel partner needs to support their goals.
3. Support strategic product roadmaps that will accelerate long term growth and take share from competition.
4. Develop, financial justify, and effectively gain management buy in on product specifications that positions Kohler in all required product nodes while creating differentiation between competitive products.
5. Create and communicate new product launch material with collaboration with Marketing, Communications, Technical Publications, Service, Training, etc.
6. Be a resource to sales and service team with product knowledge to effectively support our channel partners
7. Provide product costing guidance based on feature sets and competitive landscape while monitoring product component costs to provide Kohler with optimal margins.
8. Understand local and national codes and standards related to energy delivery. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to navigate and specify product requirements to sell in focused markets.
9. Be a product leader in a cross functional environment and effectively communicate the product vision with others.
Skills/Requirements
B.S. in Engineering, Business, or Marketing. 4-6 yrs of product marketing/management and/or product engineering experience with project management skills and exposure to strategic planning, consumer product marketing, and functional group financials. Generator, engine or power distribution experience preferred but not required.
Must possess strong communication aptitude with all levels of management along with internal and external stakeholders. Desirable candidates have a strong engineering or technical aptitude, solid planning skills, and attention to detail while not losing site of priorities and the organization's overall vision.

The salary range for this position is $122,750 - 156,850. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
