Qualified Applicants Will Have:Bachelor's degree or five years' related/equivalent combination of training and experience2-5 years of experience with HR Generalist functions (direct experience in employee relations issues including experience providing guidance and resolution to issues with employees and management).Proficiency in conflict management, coaching and presentation skills. Strong communication skills and ability to maintain professionalism in a variety of situations.Ability to travel to other RFC sites for training and communication meetings.Computer skills and ability to learn new programs: database software, HR systems, Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in HRIS systems and reporting.Preferred Candidates Will Also Have:
Strongly prefer bilingual Spanish and English2-5 years in recruiting and benefits administration (including third-party interaction)Experience in manufacturing environmentProfessional Human Resources (PHR) Certificate and/or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)OSHA 30-Hr Certification and/or Certification / Training from National Safety Council: Train the Trainer CPR, First Aid, and AEDSummary:
Under direction from Division and Corporate, utilize leadership and communication skills to facilitate Human Resources, Safety and Training functions at the local plant level. Responsible for implementing Corporate and State regulated Plant Safety Program requirements, including training and conducting Employee Safety Committees. Under Corporate Training, administers local training support to include communication and resource scheduling. Connects with HR department functions to maintain company-wide consistency of policy and programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Partners with Plant Manager as the onsite HR Generalist.Advises supervisors and managers regarding employee relation issues.
Support all shifts in employee related issues.Support teams to ensure productive team environment within facility.Facilitate conflict management with co-workers.Promotes positive employee and community-relations.
Safety Program
Conducts Plant Safety Program activities. Ex: Audits, Evaluate Compliance, Identify Hazards and Completes Accident Investigations.Facilitates Employee Safety Committee and Supervisor Committee meetings.
Supports manufacturing function in coordinating and providing proper staffing and recruiting.
Assists with labor tracking and reporting, recruiting and screening for all open positions.Maintains close contact with Temporary service providers to ensure quality service levels are achieved.Maintains New Employee programs and conducts/coordinates New Hire and Benefit Orientations and other training as needed.Handles onboarding/off-boarding of employees, includes unemployment claims filings and attends hearings.
Training Program- Admin Support
Oversees the daily maintenance of the corporate training programs.Coordinates, schedules and maintains ongoing RFC education courses, teaching if necessary.
HR Administrative Support
Processes appropriate forms. i.e. Payroll, benefits, safety, training, performance reviews, etc.Sets-up/prepares company communication meetings; local or corporate.Leads planning and organizing company events in coordination with Corporate initiatives.
Other Duties and Responsibilities include the following:HR projects as assigned.Assists employees with benefit-related problems and remains HIPAA compliant.Maintains confidentiality.Other duties as assigned.Physical Demands
