Values: Equity, collaboration, agility, and transparency PRIMARY PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE The HR Specialist will play a vital role within our dynamic HR team, focusing on the onboarding of new employees. This includes coordinating onboarding calendars and orientation schedules in collaboration with People Leaders to ensure a smooth and positive transition for new hires. Additionally, the HR Specialist will utilize our HRIS system (UKG) to enter and maintain employee data, pull reports, manage job postings, and correspond with applicants. Other key responsibilities include scheduling offboarding and exit surveys, partnering with vendors, and contributing to various HR initiatives throughout the year. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Onboarding & Offboarding (45%) Administer new employee entry in the HRIS and gather necessary paperwork and documents for hire Execute onboarding strategies inclusive of meeting with key stakeholders (People Leader & new hires) prior to hire and throughout orientation process Coordinate training scheduling with cross-functional teams across the organization Provide offboarding transition support and administer employee exit survey Provide excellent customer service, responding to questions from staff in a timely manner Administrative Support (55%) Update and maintain our HRIS data (currently using Paycom, transitioning to UKG in Q4 2024), vendor portals and organizational charts with employee changes to ensure data accuracy and consistency Support recruitment efforts by posting jobs, candidate correspondence, scheduling candidate interviews and dispositioning candidates Assemble PowerPoint presentations for All Staff meetings and communication at other key meetings Manage HR department data on the HUB (internal employee communication portal) Develop and produce ad-hoc reports, ensuring accurate, meaningful, and timely information Support training administration Serve as backup to payroll processing as needed Support other organizational & HR initiatives that arise throughout the year (e.g. performance management cycles, open enrollment, training scheduling, events, etc.) Qualifications COMPETENCIES THAT SUPPORT YOUR WORK Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources or associates or bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or combination of experience Embraces inclusion and values differences Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Ability to communicate effectively in writing, interpersonally, and in group settings Honors confidentiality and safeguards employee and employer information Proficient to advanced skills in the use of standard Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) Experience using UKG or similar HRIS system desirable Proven customer service skills Strong attention to detail Collaborative - enjoys working in a team environment Ability to problem solve Ability to work with a variety of projects simultaneously All qualified applicants ill receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
