Job Summary:
The Import Coordinator is responsible for the daily flow/documentation for imported items including the completion of import and license documentation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Planning and Forecasting in acquiring imported items
Proactively communicate with internal and external customers regarding shortages, shipping delays, etc.
Monitor and report on regulatory changes impacting the industry and/or company
Maintain and update all importing documentation
Enter JDE transactions and communicate to internal/external partners
All other planning responsibilities assigned
Coordinate and manage the efficient import of goods and materials
Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery
Resolve any issues or delays with shipments
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth import operations
Provide excellent customer service to all parties involved in the import process
Ad hoc support for functional area’s
Position Requirements:
College degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with imports
Experience in coordinating and managing import process
Attention to detail ability to multitask and work under pressure
Knowledge of FDA, USDA & US Customs rules and regulations, preferred
License Transaction ( Sales in Transits)
Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office and ERP systems
Good oral & written communication
This role is 100% remote
