Our client is hiring an HR Generalist in their Scottsdale, Arizona HQ.The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, you will build strong relationships with our company's managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.As a Human Resource Employee Relations Generalist, your efforts will directly impact on our employee growth, enabling us to continue delivering exceptional services to our employees, residents and guests. You will play a critical role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring smooth operations across both field and corporate teams within our 200-employee organization. You will collaborate closely with employees and business leaders to address concerns, provide data-driven insights on workforce trends, and manage the relationship between employees and an organization by facilitating training, responding to concerns, and recommending appropriate actions. Your efforts will contribute to the creation and implementation of HR policies that align with our business goals and promote consistency across departments.In support of our recruitment initiatives, you will assist hiring managers by optimizing the interview and selection processes, managing candidate communications, and ensuring compliance with hiring regulations.Key Responsibilities:Assist with payroll and benefits administration.Collaborates with the organization's PEO and applicable TPA to administer employee insurance programs including but not limited to, life, disability, and health insurance plans along with organization's 401K plan.Advises and informs employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions.Assists employees during open enrollment with questions and concerns relating to available insurance plans.Assists employees with OTK management for accurate timekeeping to ensure successful payrolls.Collaborate with other HR staff and hiring managers to ensure successful onboarding of new hires into the PEO system.Collaborates with PEO designated staff to communicate regarding payroll and benefits questions and/or concerns.Administers all aspects of payroll from timecard exports into the PEO system to ensure accurate payroll including but not limited to, worked hours, direct deposit activation, benefits, and tax deductions, along with confirming new hires active for applicable first payroll.Maintain accurate employee records in the PEO system.Managing final pay for terminated employees ensuring compliance with final pay wage laws for applicable state.Completes records, reporting and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.Conducts employee surveys, census, and other research and demographic efforts required to collect accurate quotes from benefits providers.Identifies and selects carriers and plans to present to the Director of Human Resources based on quotes, available benefits, and prior experience.Communicate with IT regarding new hires and terminated employees.Responsible for sending out communications to internal staff regarding staffing updates.Collaborate with PEO to file and manage workers compensation claims.Maintains knowledge of economic conditions, labor market, and other factors related to ensuring the organization provides competitive and reasonable benefits and compensations scales and structures.Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.Develop and oversee new hire orientation, onboarding efforts and employee termination processEnsures compliance with company policies and procedures and legal ResponsibilitiesServe as a point of contact for employees regarding workplace issues, including but not limited to conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and disciplinary actions.Assist in the development and implementation of employee relations policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and company standards.Conduct investigations into employee complaints, grievances, or misconduct allegations, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality throughout the process.Maintain accurate and confidential employee records related to disciplinary actions, grievances, and other employee relations matters.Facilitate discussions and mediate conflicts between employees or between employees and management, aiming to achieve mutually beneficial resolutions.Collaborate with HR staff to develop and deliver training programs on employee relations topics such as conflict resolution, harassment prevention, and communication skills.Prepare regular reports on employee relations metrics, trends, and issues for management review, identifying areas for improvement and proactive intervention.Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations ensuring that employee relations practices and policies remain compliant and up to date.Collaborate with other HR staff with various initiatives, including performance management, employee engagement surveys, and organizational development projects.Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field and / or equivalent years of Employee Relations, Human ResourceFour plus years' experience in employee relations, Human Resources or related roleExperience operating assigned computer software and other equipment, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:Five + years of experience in employee relations or human resources roles, with a focus on conflict resolution, investigations, and complianceGeneral knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, Title VII, EEO, FLSA) and experience applying them in workplace scenariosStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy2 plus years' experience conducting workplace investigations, including interviewing employees, gathering evidence, and making sound recommendationsDemonstrated ability to influence without authority and build strong relationships with employees, managers, and senior leaders.Experience in developing and implementing employee relations programs, policies, and proceduresProven track record in mediation and conflict resolution techniques to address employee issues constructivelyCertifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR-related credentials are a plusStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple, complex issues simultaneouslyExperience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably supporting corporate and field work positions within a similar industry.Other Requirements:Must pass background and drug screenings.Must have a valid driver's license, proof of valid vehicle insurance and must have annual Motor Vehicle Record Check, as a condition of employment if employee operates any Company owned
