We are hiring a Controller for a non-profit company local to Miami FL. Must have prior non-profit experience.Partners with Executives to develop, implement and measure financial progress on strategic business plans and operating initiativesAdvises the CEO and other key members of the senior leadership team on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.Serves as the liaison to the board, finance and audit committee member through effective communication and presentation of critical financial matters at select board of directors and finance committee meetings.Represents the organization externally, through building relationships with the agency key partners such as banks, donors, vendors, outside consultants and other financial institutions as needed to keep close to agency's major expenditures and sources of revenueLeads and develops a team of finance professionals who are responsible for financial reporting, planning and analysis for agency.Oversees and evolves financial and operational metrics, analysis, and support tools to deliver actionable value-added insights to the functions supported by the programs teams, and the Executive team.Serves as part of the leadership team, helping to develop and execute multi-year business plans and strategies that advance agencies priorities and intended impact.Oversees the development and maintenance of short and long-range financial models that incorporate key business drivers and assist Senior Management in making financial decisionsEstablishes and monitors staff performance and development goals, sets objectives, establishes priorities, conducts annual performance appraisals, and other supervisory responsibilities.Qualifications:+ Must have experience working in the non profit setting+ Bachelor's Degree+ Familiar with non-profit finance and accounting regulations; proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change/development within a growing organization.+ Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.+ Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker.About Aston Carter:Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
