job summary:

The SAP Warehouse Management Specialist will be reporting directly to the Director, SAP S/4 Hana Center of Excellence (CoE), and will have an important role in the warehouse management and inventory management areas and support our manufacturing and distribution business.

The SAP Warehouse Management Specialist will be expected to be hands-on expert in SAP ECC & SAP S/4 EWM/WM/IM and has implemented S/4 Hana EWM / WM / IM multiple times using a global template rollout approach. The position may require some travel within the Americas and internationally. Having an excellent customer focus and service orientation is key for this position.

Scope of Responsibilities

Hands-on SAP Global EWM solution design, configuration, rollouts and support in SAP S/4 & SAP ECC Responsible for working with other areas within SAP like SD/QM/ MM/MDG to provide a comprehensive solution

EWM Workstream Lead for S/4 Hana global implementation and will responsible for all the project activities related to the workstream

Develop a deep understanding of our business processes and strategy through collaboration and regular engagement with key stakeholders and process owners, and translate the business requirements into functionalities within SAP

Responsible for clearly explaining, educating, and recommending the business partners when to use the different functionalities of the system, based on specific pros and cons of each alternative

Research, document, adhering to and communicating clean core / best practices utilizing SAP and Chemical industry best practices in the warehouse management area

Responsible for implementation of excellent application maintenance processes and SLAs in all areas of responsibility (break fix, preventive and minor enhancements )

Provide support and take leadership in the SAP S/4 Hana EWM area including establishing standards and requirements, evaluating enhancements, and implementing solutions, systems configuration, design and implementation.

Core SAP S/4 Hana Project Team Member: As a key EWM resource for SAP S/4 HANA, has the design, configuration, testing , documentation, training and roll out of the global template experience.

Production support: As a key support resource for SAP North Americas support organization, address all SAP support tickets in the SAP WM area based on prioritization in a timely manner. Recording incidents, working on root cause analysis, and providing permanent resolutions working with internal technical teams to resolve the issue and avoid them from happening repeatedly

Documentation: Responsible for the development of detailed documentation related to business processes mapped and implemented within SAP including documentation of the downstream and upstream system impacts.

Build partnerships with internal customers and other systems owners within North America and globally

Collaborating with 3rd party SAP AMS provider(s) in a co-sourcing model

Participate in the global Change Control Board as required.

Support internal and external audits

Maintain standards for application maintenance support tools

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience required.

8+ years of hands-on work experience in SAP WM out of which 4+ years in EWM is required in a business facing role

Key EWM/WM resource experienced in multiple SAP S/4 implementations with demonstrated consulting experience in the warehouse management process areas. One full life-cycle global SAP S/4 Hana project is preferred

Technical Expertise :

Must have experience in the overall Warehouse Management process using SAP S/4 Hana EWM

Must have exposure to Production execution under discreet manufacturing and process manufacturing preferably in a checmical industry setting

Must have experience supporting distribution processes

Must have experience in the definition of master data elements as they pertain to the manufacturing processes - BOMS, Routings, recipes, Resources/Work centers, materials, production variants, Batches (including characteristic derivation)

Must have exposure to barcoding and scanning

Experience in integration between SAP EWM with SAP PP and Shop floor control systems or manufacturing execution systems is a plus

Experience in the following areas:

Good Understanding on Master Data configurations and business process mapping for example Business Partner, warehouse structure, storage types

Good hands-on knowledge on Fiori apps

Enhancements within EWM using clean core concepts

EWM queue management

Good knowledge on EWM integration with another module QM, PP, MM, SD

Inbound delivery processing, Warehouse order management, Task Management

Batch Management in goods receipt and goods issue processing

Handling Unit Management in goods receipt and goods issue processing

Production Supply management

Packaging Specifications and Mapping customer specific requirements

Internal warehouse processes, Warehouse controls & warehouse Monitoring

Physical Inventory processes

Good working knowledge of barcoding and/or label printing solutions in the context of manufacturing process in a chemical manufacturing setting

Experience working in a process manufacturing or a chemical manufacturing industry with dangerous goods management and regulated substances is a plus

Ability to effectively communicate with Business SME's, Technical IT team members and as well as end users across the globe (excellent verbal and written communication skills)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent organizational, time and project management skills
