PURPOSE:The purpose of this position is to provide and manage program support of Continuous Improvement in the organization. In this capacity, the position will support/facilitate manufacturing process improvement efforts and plans, introduce and implement Statistical Process Control techniques as well as associated measurement and control systems, assist and develop Training program initiatives, and provide administrative and program support to Reengineering activities at the site.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Support and facilitate Manufacturing Process Improvement efforts and plans.Develop and initiate cost reduction programs in the assigned manufacturing area.Introduce and implement SPC techniques and associated measurement and control systems.Assist and develop Training program initiatives.Provide Administrative support to Reengineering activities.Manage team of manufacturing engineers throughout the facilityREQUIREMENTS:4 Year degree in engineering (Mechanical/Industrial, Electrical) or equivalent work experienceMBA desirable5-10 years of related manufacturing experience.Strong knowledge of forging or metal working processes preferredSPECIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Strong communication and facilitation skills.Good computer skills (software packages, languages, and operational systems).Working knowledge of SPC tools and techniques.Working knowledge of Synchronous Manufacturing and Kaizen process improvement techniques (processing mapping, QFD, etc.)Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously or as a team member.Good organizational and writing skills.
