Basic Function
HF Sinclair is seeking an Unbranded Sales Manager in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will manage a team of marketing representatives accountable for the gasoline and distillate rack sales.
Job Duties
Manages our national unbranded sales and marketing team, who is accountable for all unbranded gasoline and distillate fuel rack sales in each region.Collaborates closely with the bulk supply and trading teams to balance the bulk/rack sales quantities and locations to ensure the cost effective and reliable clearing of the refineries while also maximizing overall sales profitabilityCollaborates closely with the pricing team to ensure we are achieving the highest netback possible while optimizing inventoriesEstablishes and maintains exceptional working relationships with unbranded customersNegotiates and actively manages unbranded rack sales contractsEnsures sales contracts' counterparties, durations, locations, pricing, terms & conditions are developed in conjunction and collaboration with their supply & bulk trading colleagues and fully considers bulk sales alternativesLeads team's utilization of the company's Decision Making Framework structure to rigorously assess business opportunitiesIdentifies new markets and customers and continuously works to increase profitability by upgrading the current unbranded portfolioFormulates the team's long- and short-term performance goals in conjunction with the Director, Product Sales & MarketingCommunicates with the Director, Product Sales & Marketing informing him/her of conditions, activities and trends in area of responsibility which may have an impact on the broader businessEnsures budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are metWorks with Credit Department when neededLeads team through crisis management situations which may include off-spec products, supply outages, customer complaints, etcEnsures a close-connectedness with industry peers via industry functionsInterprets, recommends, and executes department policyManages and calls on "house" accountsWorks with management to develop commercial talent, career development plans, and succession plans
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
Experience
A minimum of 8 years of marketing refined products in the oil and gas industry is required.
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a management-related field is required.
Required Skills
Ability to lead and direct the work of other associates. Working knowledge of Microsoft products, excellent communication skills, and ability to multi-task. Ability to be creative, organized, and analytical, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others. Advanced ability to perform light oils marketing and trade assignments effectively, and execute sales opportunities. Advanced ability to read and write, and an ability to perform intermediate-level mathematical calculations and present publicly.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Responsible for the supervision of approximately 4-5 employees.
Work Conditions
Office based with extensive travel throughout the Untied States required up to 60% of the time by land and air required. Up to 30% of time will be required to work in petroleum refinery environment. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions.
