Our Finance team is looking for a Plant Controller to support KION North America's operations in Summerville, SC. This position will be an integral part of the Finance team reporting directly to the Controlling Manager. Working closely with executives and leadership team members in manufacturing, ultimate goal for this position is to improve profitability and drive efficiency gains within and between operational functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Continuously improve processes at the interface between finance and operations.Track development of product costs and lead margin analysis by product.Review production variances (materials & labor) with management and help drive to root causeMaintain labor/overhead/machine rates for production routings.Implement finance relevant KPIs that complement existing operational KPIs to detect unrealized efficiencies, cost savings potentials and opportunities for productivity improvements.Closely monitor the production inventory value and reach times.Support the operations team with the inventory count.Support the month-close process.Support the annual budget and mid-term planning process as well as monthly P&L forecasts for operations.Ensure compliance with CAPEX budget and support CAPEX requesters with profitability calculations of investments and challenge assumptions.Perform and/or support make-or-buy calculations.Prepare ad-hoc financial analytics as requested by executive and leadership team.Drive / lead cross-functional process improvement / Kaizen initiatives.Be an integral part of the project team for the make-to-order implementation in SAP.Tasks and Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's in Finance or BusinessAt least 5 years of experience in a Financial role in an operations environmentSAP knowledgeAdvanced MS Excel userBusiness mindset, interest in business beyond the numbersStrong communication skillsVery proactive, self-motivated and process orientedHands-on mentalityPreferred:
Master's degreeContinuous Improvement mindset / certificationExperience working for an international company
