Job Summary:
Reports to the Vice President for Enrollment Management. Plans, implements, and directs multiple institutional programs, priorities, initiatives, and services aimed at meeting the enrollment needs of the University, specifically as they pertain to graduate and professional students. Holds budget responsibility and accountability for program assignments. Ensures that maximum institutional synergy is obtained from individual efforts, and that departmental activities are consistent with the overall mission, objectives, and strategic plan of the University. Participates in the full range of admission responsibilities, including travel to universities and colleges for graduate school fairs and specialized recruitment events; administrative duties; meeting with prospective students and interviewing for program placement; reviewing applications and assuming other projects as assigned. Direct supervision of counseling staff, including ongoing training, evaluation and professional development. High degree of visibility and contact with persons on and off campus, including building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to advance recruitment initiatives and create opportunities for lead generation. May serve as admission representative on select university committees. Will demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to the needs of all students and perform duties in accordance with the values of a private comprehensive institution.

Develops and implement the overall recruitment plan for the University's graduate and professional studies programs, most notably within the areas of health science and education.Supervises professional counseling staff and the graduate intern, including ongoing training, management, and mentoring. Conducts annual reviews for direct reports and provides feedback for consistent efficiency and team effectiveness.Collaborates with key university stakeholders to advance recruitment initiatives, which includes deans, faculty and staff in the areas of graduate studies and research, university relations, registration and records, academic affairs, graduate programs, and other affiliates.Partners with program directors, school deans, and academic chairs to establish admission criteria and application requirements for designated programs within the education and health science areas.Identifies and creates marketing materials for internal and external promotions to advance recruitment goals and partners with the University Relations team to build and update graduate program webpages.Manages the execution of new program launches in collaboration with key stakeholders within Enrollment Services and the University.Evaluates applications and manages day-to-day communication/operations of programs within assigned territories through data entry, reporting, and database management to support enrollment. Processes admission decisions for programs within the education and health science areas.Designates annual staff territory assignments and monitors progress of program initiative implementation through weekly meetings with direct reports.Collaborates with University constituents on annual reports needed for program accreditation reviews and processes specified data requests.Manages daily CRM functions including query creations, application review, event planning, and data processing for targeted graduate and post-baccalaureate populations.Manages admission team calendar and create daily appointment schedules for in-person and virtual visits through the CRM.Collaborates with Financial Aid to ensure prospective graduate students receive financial aid offers.Collaborates with the Dean of Graduate Research and Studies to manage graduate assistantships.Serves on the Enrollment Leadership Team to establish new admission and recruitment initiatives, set yearly tuition and enrollment goals, and collaborate on management best practices.Program planning and implementation with budget responsibility and accountability.Adheres to all college and departmental policies.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred.4-7 years of middle-management responsibilities in the field of admission or a related area highly preferred.Strong public relations skills, creative, high energy, and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, team-oriented working environment. Leadership, coaching, and teambuilding skills to strengthen and cultivate relationships.Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and work effectively with administrators, academic leadership, faculty, students, community leadership, public officials, funding agencies, and members of the community at large.Strong understanding of the role of the web and technology in supporting a one-to-one marketing environment.Strategic and analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems and make decisions. Demonstrated competency in data-based decision making. Statistical background helpful.Ability to network and interact, as well as support effective partnerships with key groups and individuals.Willing to travel and work evenings and weekends.Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Other than admission travel responsibilities, work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
