Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources (HR) Analyst maintains personnel data through the employee life cycle through the Human Resources Information System(s) (HRIS) as well as analyzing and reporting HR related data for internal and external needs. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of the organization's HRIS, ensuring the systems meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the People & Culture (P&C) department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Human Resources Information Systems
Maintains data for the employee life cycle through HRIS and benefits systems, system accesses, staff directory and organization charts. Enters employee data and status changes in HRIS and other employee records.Monitors HRIS system by consulting with P&C team and other management to ascertain organization needs for HR-related information and ensures full utilization of HRIS system including all linkups for proper functionality. Assesses current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS. Identifies, recommends, and programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports. Under the guidance of leadership, plans, modifies, and customizes HRIS and other systems to test new applications and features.Provides user training and hands-on support. Prepares training materials, guides, and documentation.Works directly with HRIS system technical personnel or vendors to solve problems and maintain system for efficient operations. Provides technical support to the organization for the HRIS system.Personnel Budget
Assists with annual personnel budgeting for the entire organization and adjustments as needed throughout the year. Maintains position management report (currently Table of Organization).Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors' practices, and other sources.Prepares standard and custom reports upon request from leadership, People & Culture team, and others for both strategic initiatives and specific ad hoc needs.Compile information and submissions for census reporting; collaborative surveys, compensation surveys and other non-routine requests for information from HRIS as received.Manages data and tools utilized for job classification, compensation, and other HR processes and procedures.Conduct or assist with audits for classification of exemption status, EEOC, and workers compensation coding, or compliance related needs.Ensures systems compliance with data security, privacy requirements, regulations, and best practices.Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.Complete employment verifications as requested.Provides basic coverage for People & Culture Manager as needed.Works with P&C Team, assist with organization-wide or department-wide strategic initiative training efforts, including Supervisor/Manager Training as well as future P&C driven initiatives.Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, industrial psychology, information technology, or a related field required.Three years of experience such as HR information technology, HR operations, or related.A combination of education and experience can be substituted to meet requirements.HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or related) preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to train users on various technology systems.Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong interpersonal and technical support skills.Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations involving employment, HR, and HR policies.Strong proficiency with HR management systems (HRMS) such as Paylocity, Office 365, benefits platform (currently Winston), and other technologies used by Denver Rescue Mission.Ability to learn software and technologies quickly and effectively.Ability to keep information confidential.Active Driver's License as a limited amount of work-related travel may be required.Must be a Christian holding to the beliefs set forth in the Statement of Faith, expressed by a personal testimony and Christian conduct.
