If so – we want to hear from you!Fuse is looking for a Program Manager to lead various Department of Defense customers in the development, integration and demonstration of advanced communications and networking technologies onto airborne platforms - driving long term growth for these business areas. This role will oversee and manage all aspects of project execution and provide strategic guidance through all phases of development while ensuring that warfighter needs and requirements are integrated into our solutions.
Our work focuses on DoD network and tactical communications providing a variety of communications abilities to USN and USMC platforms including tactical data links, line-of-sight and beyond line-of-sight radios, and crossbanding of IP data. This engineering-minded Program Manager must be passionate about enhancing operator capabilities with user-focused communication, network, and software systems.Warfighter-focused design and development is at the heart of Fuse processes. Throughout Fuse development our experienced team applies the best practices of commercial design-think, coupled to the DoD systems engineering framework. The coupling of commercially proven design with rigorous systems engineering gives Fuse an ability to rapidly design, develop and field solutions well inside of typical military design cycles. With an Agile approach to development (for both software and hardware) Fuse rapidly innovates, putting creative concepts into action, and refining those concepts through hands on test, user evaluation, and iteration.What you’ll do:Create and maintain strong working relationships with partners, customers, and industry stakeholders to expand our various airborne platform Business AreasInsert focus on fixed and/or rotary wing tactics into system demonstration and experimentationDeliver innovative software, network, and hardware solutions to the that enhance network and IP-based communicationsEnsure cost, schedule, and technical requirements are met for all projects within the portfolioWork alongside engineering teams to optimize exchange of key metrics and resolve road blocksIncorporate real-world operators into our development process in order to understand needs and requirements from an end-user point of viewProvide input for strategic growth of the portfolio through project planning and proposalsDrive strategic growth across your business areaEnsure system development environment and system attributes align with DoD security requirementsParticipate in demonstration planning with customers, engineering teams, and overarching experiment managersExecute technical demonstrationsOversee critical system integration and field events meet system objectives and customer expectationsRequirementsWe are looking for:Ideal candidates will have experience in technical leadership and early product development including requirements development, system design, system integration and test for complex technical systems.·Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field of study or Bachelor’s degree with related experience in an engineering field8-10 years of hands-on experience in designing, development and implementing technical systemsExperience managing various projects and leading teams in the engineering development, testing and deployment of complex systemsExperience with DoD R&D process and life cycle managementWorking knowledge and experience with military networking systemsUnderstanding of system test process including experience producing test plans and proceduresFamiliarity with Agile development and professional SW development environmentsU.S. citizenCurrent US SECRET ClearanceMust be a nimble self-starter who is excited about technology and has the ability to think out of the box and suggest powerful new ideasNice to have:Experience with platform areasBombers, Tankers and Airlift (Air Force)TACAIRRotary WingShip based networks, TDLs, and Weapons SystemsManagement Degree, MBA, or similar certification (such as PMP)Experience leading development of software based systemsUnderstanding of networking and network troubleshootingExperience with military airworthiness certificationFounded in 2010, Fuse is a veteran-owned business.
