If so – we want to hear from you!Fuse is looking for a technically savvy and hands-on Project Manager with an engineering background to lead the development, integration, and demonstration of advanced communications and networking technologies. In this role, you will oversee and manage all aspects of project execution and provide strategic guidance to the team and stakeholders. Our work focuses on DoD network and tactical communications providing a variety of communications abilities to USN and USMC platforms including tactical data links, line of sight and beyond line of sight radios, and crossbanding of IP data. This engineering-minded Project Manager must be passionate about enhancing operator capabilities with user-focused communication, network, and software systems.Warfighter-focused design and development is at the heart of Fuse processes. Throughout Fuse development, our experienced team applies the best practices of commercial design-think, coupled with the DoD systems engineering framework. The coupling of commercially proven design with rigorous systems engineering gives Fuse the ability to rapidly design, develop, and field solutions well inside of typical military design cycles. With an Agile approach to development (for both software and hardware), Fuse rapidly innovates, putting creative concepts into action, and refining those concepts through hands-on test, user evaluation, and iteration.What you’ll do:Deliver innovative software, network, and hardware solutions that enhance network and IP-based communications.Ensure cost, schedule, and technical requirements are met.Work as a team throughout the design process, supporting sprint planning sessions, code reviews, and scrums.Get in front of real-world operators to understand needs and requirements from an end-user point of view.Provide input for project planning and proposals.Create relationships with customers, stakeholders, and industry partners.Ensure system development environment and system attributes align with DoD security requirements.Participate in demonstration planning with customers and overarching experiment managers.Execute technical demonstrations.Oversee internal development level test, verify system objectives are met with comprehensive test cycles.Provide strategic guidance to project teams and stakeholders.Founded in 2010, Fuse is a veteran-owned business. Our San Diego-based company has earned recognition as an emerging leader in airborne, maritime, and ground networking.Please respond with your resume, and in addition to your resume, a cover letter will go a long way.We are looking for:Ideal candidates will have experience in technical leadership and early product development including requirements development, system design, system integration, and testing for complex technical systems.Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field of study or Bachelor’s degree with related experience in an engineering field.5-7 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing technical systems.Experience leading teams in the engineering development, testing, and deployment of complex systems.Experience with DoD R&D process and life cycle management.Working knowledge and experience with military networking systems.Understanding of system test processes including experience producing test plans and procedures.Familiarity with Agile development and professional software development environments.U.S. citizenship.Current U.S. SECRET Clearance.Must be a nimble self-starter who is excited about technology and has the ability to think outside the box and suggest powerful new ideas.Nice to have:Experience with USMC Communications networks and C4ISR.Management Degree, MBA, or similar certification (such as PMP).Experience leading development of software-based systems.Understanding of networking and network troubleshooting.Benefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision
