RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Inc. (DLS) is Hawaii’s largest locally owned and operated medical testing laboratory. DLS is considered a leader in the Hawaii, Guam and Saipan communities we serve. SCHEDULE

Tempoary Full-Time Position (Day)

Must be available Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, able to work OT as needed.

Must be flexible with schedule changes to meet operational needs.

HIRING RANGE

$20.35 to $25.86 hourly

Actual pay commensurate with experience

JOB SUMMARY

Supports employee preboarding, onboarding and orientation activities. Supports all functions related to recruitment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Listed below are the major duties and responsibilities of this position. Essential job functions are identified with an *.

Facilitates the preboarding and onboarding processes. (50%)*

Coordinates post-offer activities including post offer physicals, drug tests and background checks.

Assists with travel arrangements and relocation expenses for selected applicants as needed.

Ensures that thorough and complete background checks are performed via third party vendors.

Communicates and provides communication steps to managers for all new hires and temporary hires.

Composes new hire announcements and communication.

Ensures that new employee documentation is compliant with employment-related laws.

Supports recruitment functions for the organization. (30%)*

Updates and maintains job postings on internal and external websites.

Provides outreach to candidates.

Creates materials such as offer letters for candidates.

Assists with placing staffing orders with temporary agency services. Maintains documentation as required by law and policy.

Represents the company at job fairs and other Talent Acquisition events.

Generate reports and presentations.

Maintains accurate departmental files and information systems. (10%) *

Accurately enters and maintains data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Maintains compliant documentation for all applicants.

Creates and communicates preboarding status reports.

Creates and maintains the employee files.

Supports management-level recruitment. (10%)

Provides sourcing and outreach support.

Creates and maintains job posting internally and externally.

Coordinates interviews including communication to all parties.

Generates data reports for status updates and decision making.

Performs other duties as required.

JOB DEMANDS

Typical Physical Demands:

Able to sit and use PC up to two (2) hours continuously.

Able to key up to four (4) hours a day intermittently.

Able to life, carry, push or pull items weighing up to thirty five (35) pounds occasionally.

Requires air and/or ground travel occasionally.

Typical Working Conditions:

Work environment includes conditions common to administrative offices.

Generally works in an indoor, air-conditioned area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management.

Experience:

Required:

One (1) year Human Resources experience. (Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field may be substituted for work experience.)

Preferred:

Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, with one (1) year recent experience in recruitment.

Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) experience with PeopleSoft and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Healthcare experience.

Certification:

Preferred:

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and/or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification.

Skills:

Required:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in verbal and written form.

Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team.

Ability to organize multiple tasks at the same time with varying deadlines

Excellent customer service skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar application.

Ability to set priorities, assess/problem solve and make independent decisions with minimal supervision.

Ability to lead, facilitate a group process and coordinate programs and activities.

Ability to project a positive & professional image on behalf of the organization.
