SAIC is seeking a visionary Senior IT Operations Manager to support a U.S. government agency in the National Capital Region. This role is responsible for driving the strategy, security, efficiency, and resilience of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation across multi-platform, multi-enclave environments. You will oversee cloud infrastructure to optimize cost, scalability, and performance while leading modernization efforts to align with organizational and government priorities. This position involves managing infrastructure end-to-end, ensuring it meets both current operational needs and long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Leadership and oversight over several critical infrastructure areas ensuring delivery of project and operational commitments

· Define the long-term roadmap for infrastructure technologies including databases, networks, servers, data centers, storage, and backup systems to align with organizational and government priorities.

· Oversee modernization of IT systems, focusing on scalable and efficient on-premises and cloud solutions.

· Provide leadership for teams supporting critical business applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

· Ensure contract deliverables and SLA performance is consistently delivered at or over target quality level

· Manage on-premises and cloud-based storage and backup infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.

· Lead management of Oracle and SQL databases across on-premises and cloud environments for optimal performance.

· Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and Tier I support teams for seamless operation and integration.

· Working with the vulnerability management team, provide oversight and guidance to the infrastructure teams to Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across all infrastructure and platform environments while ensuring compliance with regulations.

· Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), deliver reports on operational effectiveness and improvement areas.

· Drive innovation in IT infrastructure, managing efforts to stay ahead of emerging technology trends.

· Resolve complex IT infrastructure issues through escalation and leveraging technology expertise.

· Oversee large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring they align with business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.

· Develop security and resiliency plans for IT infrastructure, focusing on disaster recovery and business continuity.

· Ensure infrastructure strategies align with the organization’s mission, supporting business continuity and innovation.

· Foster a culture of learning and innovation to encourage process and technology improvements.

· Plan for future infrastructure needs, ensuring technology remains agile and adaptable to new challenges.

· Oversee Site Support and Service Desk operations to enhance user satisfaction and productivity.

· Manage IT asset lifecycle for effective procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of assets.

· Direct the Network Operations Center (NOC) to ensure network performance and security while optimizing for future needs inclusive of shifting left where appropriate to increase the effectiveness and value from tier 2 and 3 teams

· Oversee cloud infrastructure operations, focusing on cost management, scalability, and performance optimization across hybrid environments.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Proven leadership in defining and executing IT strategies at a senior level.

· Expertise in managing databases, storage, and backups across both on-premises and cloud environments.

· Strong background in developing infrastructure roadmaps, driving modernization efforts, and ensuring operational excellence.

· Ability to oversee cross-functional collaboration and resolve complex technology challenges.

· Experience in managing vulnerability remediation and ensuring compliance with IT security standards.

· In-depth knowledge of end-user support services, IT asset management, and network operations.

· Demonstrated success in leading skilled and highly productive teams.

· Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.

· Proficient in managing by metrics, tracking and presenting team progress against delivery goals.

· Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage team workloads while working towards overall goals and commitments.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· Undergraduate degree with fifteen years of experience or Graduate degree with twelve years of experience in IT Infrastructure systems and Application management

· One or more current industry recognized certifications (PMP, ITIl 4, Azure Certificate).

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
