Senior Systems Administrator

**Job Summary:**BCT-LLC is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join an exciting mission program. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic system administrator with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and ten (10) years of demonstrable experience in system administration and support of a large client-server based IT enterprise.
**Qualifications:**- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.- 10 years of experience in system administration and supporting large client-server based IT enterprises.- Industry-recognized professional certification may substitute for one year of experience.- Experience in installing, configuring, and networking UNIX and NT-based platforms.- Proficiency in creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts, performing system backups, and maintaining system configuration files.- Fundamental understanding of operating systems and familiarity with UNIX or NT commands/utilities.- Experience in installing and configuring hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packages.
**Responsibilities:**- Develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies.- Configure and consolidate server configurations.- Verify the health and status of the entire IT infrastructure.- Provide support for enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, email services, and security protection mechanisms.- Ensure the interoperability of UNIX and NT-based systems.
**Additional Requirements for SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR IV FOR HPC:**- Installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, and administration of multi-vendor servers.- Experience with Red Hat or SuSe servers with direct attached FC SAN storage or SSDs.- Proficiency in distributing computing tools like ReS, LSF, and SLURM.- Knowledge of HPC farm systems, HPC MPP cluster systems, and Front End servers of Special Purpose devices.- Experience with IBM or HP Blade servers, multi-vendor filesystems such as XFS, GPFS, and Lustre.- Certifications required include Valid RHCSA or higher Red Hat certification and Valid VMWare certification.
**Certifications and Skills:**- IAT Level II Certification Required.- Candidates with Lustre Experience highly preferred.
