Job Summary:BCT-LLC is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join an exciting mission program. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic system administrator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and ten (10) years of demonstrable experience in system administration and support of a large client-server based IT enterprise.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.10 years of experience in system administration and supporting large client-server based IT enterprises.Industry-recognized professional certification may substitute for one year of experience.Experience in installing, configuring, and networking UNIX and NT-based platforms.Proficiency in creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts, performing system backups, and maintaining system configuration files.Fundamental understanding of operating systems and familiarity with UNIX or NT commands/utilities.Experience in installing and configuring hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packages.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies.Configure and consolidate server configurations.Verify the health and status of the entire IT infrastructure.Provide support for enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, email services, and security protection mechanisms.Ensure the interoperability of UNIX and NT-based systems.
Additional Requirements for SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR IV FOR HPC:
Installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, and administration of multi-vendor servers.Experience with Red Hat or SuSe servers with direct attached FC SAN storage or SSDs.Proficiency in distributing computing tools like ReS, LSF, and SLURM.Knowledge of HPC farm systems, HPC MPP cluster systems, and Front End servers of Special Purpose devices.Experience with IBM or HP Blade servers, multi-vendor filesystems such as XFS, GPFS, and Lustre.Certifications required include Valid RHCSA or higher Red Hat certification and Valid VMWare certification.
Certifications and Skills:
IAT Level II Certification Required.Candidates with Lustre Experience highly preferred.
