Job Summary:The System Administrator III will be responsible for providing system administration and support for a large client-server based IT enterprise. They will have experience in installing, configuring, and networking UNIX and/or NT based platforms, managing user accounts, performing system backups, and maintaining system configuration files. Additionally, the System Administrator III must be able to develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies, server configuration, and consolidation, and ensure the health and status of the entire IT infrastructure.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferredEight (8) years of experience in system administration and support of a large IT enterpriseAlternatively, five (5) years of full-time computer science work experience can substitute for the Bachelor’s DegreeFundamental understanding of operating systems and familiarity with UNIX or NT commands/utilitiesExperience in installing and configuring hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packagesStrong knowledge of enterprise backup/recovery strategies, server configuration, and consolidationProficiency in supporting enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, e-mail services, and security protection mechanismsIndustry-recognized professional certification is a plusResponsibilities:Install, configure, and network UNIX and/or NT based platformsManage user accounts, perform system backups, and maintain system configuration filesDevelop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategiesConfigure and consolidate servers, and monitor the health and status of the IT infrastructureProvide support for enterprise services like DNS, NFS, e-mail services, and security protection mechanismsAdditional Qualifications for HPC Division:In addition to the above qualifications, the System Administrator III for High-Performance Computing (HPC) must have experience in:Installation, configuration, tuning, and support of multi-vendor servers running various applications to meet HPC support requirementsWorking with multi-vendor servers running Red Hat or SuSe with different types of storage setupsManaging distributed computing tools such as ReS, LSF, and SLURMSupporting HPC farm systems, HPC MPP clustered systems, and Front-End servers of Special Purpose devicesFamiliarity with IBM or HP Blade servers with different backend setupsWorking with multi-vendor filesystems such as XFS, GPFS, and LustreConducting pre-factory testing, factory testing, system integration, and acceptance testing during the purchase process of HPC systemsHolding an IAT Level II CertificationBenefits:- 401(k) Plan with Matching Contributions- Independent 401(k) and Investment Advisory Services- Health Savings Account (HSA) funded by the company- Health, Dental, and Vision Coverage- Life/AD&D Insurance Coverage fully paid by the company- Disability Coverage fully paid by the company- Fitness/Gym Reimbursement- Pet Adoption Reimbursement- Scholarships- Employee Referral Program- Tuition/Training Reimbursement- Mentor Program
