Job Description Summary
GE Aerospace is a world’s leading manufacturer and servicer of jet and turboprop engines, components providing integrated systems for commercial, military, business, and general aviation. We are looking to hire a Software Quality Assurance Manager to support software quality issues across our Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) shops globally. This is an exciting opportunity to improve various quality operation activities related to software control from quality perspective. The candidate will also be responsible to make improvement across the GE MRO network, and ensure we comply with aviation regulatory requirements.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
:
Partner with sites across the network to develop and implement SQA systems
Work with site DT teams on IT and OT needs for selecting and funding enterprise solutions
Develop and deploy appropriate policy and procedures with alignment on Cyber Security in compliance with regulations
Evolve MRO site capability to include offline programming in a controlled SQA environment
Lead and drive effective RCCA standards for software quality issues across MRO shops globally
Partner and engage with MRO shops in order to build standard work in software quality control
Quality focal for operational issues surrounding software quality and digital products
Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
Willingness and ability to travel within country and abroad, as necessary.
Minimum Requirements
:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of experience in quality control of software and digital products (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with an additional 4+ years of experience in quality control of software and digital products).
Desired Characteristics
:
CI/CD (Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery) pipelines experience.
Experience in managing a new product through iterations to improve quality.
Experience in general aviation and quality systems desired.
Experience in program management.
Knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action techniques, Six Sigma quality concepts and tools, Human Factors effect.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker.
Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.
Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively.
