Job Summary
This position is a direct report to the Applications Group Products Supervisor. The Business Analyst role is responsible for business systems related fields and how they align with user needs. Documents requirements, establishes scope, objectives and determines strategy for implementing systems related fields to achieve business goals including: gathering and prioritizing customer requirements and working closely with business functions to ensure customer satisfaction goals are met. In that capacity, this position is responsible for the following:• The SAP Business Analyst for this role exhibits an in-depth knowledge business analysis to evaluate data to inform business decisions and conduct research and analysis to find solutions to meet business needs.• This includes monitoring and implementing related security measures among other duties. This role requires exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Work with HR/payroll clients, support and development teams to provide subject matter expertise in the day-to-day support of the HR/payroll business area related to business process and technology expertise.• Work with other support team members including suppliers to ensure client expectations are met related to system reliability, SLA's, minor modifications and escalations.• Must have the ability to provide analytical conclusions and support recommended action/decisions with clarity, adjusting to meet the needs of the audience (technical v non-technical business partners/clients).• Support the Disaster Recovery (DR) Process for the SAP systems with an emphasis on the systems supporting the HR/payroll function including updating of the DR plan, support the periodic testing and activation in the event of an emergency• Monitor and execute IT SOX controls and work closely with internal and external auditors• Coordinate planned outages for systems in area of accountability with the LOB and IT.• Develop and maintain an in-depth technical and business knowledge of the HR/payroll business processes to ensure efficient design, programming, testing and implementation of recommended solutions. Maintain currency in designated SAP functional areas including upcoming enhancements and industry trends.• Working with the Lines of Business to identify, analyze and convey business requirements into functional specifications and technical design documents.• Provide application and solutions consulting for SAP Human Resource (HR)/Payroll in the area of Personnel Management/Organization Management with Org Publisher/Time and Pay Management/Payroll Accounting/Learning Solutions (TEM)/Employee and Manager Self-Service/Travel Management/Cross Application Timesheet.• Work with training team(s) to develop and deliver user training curriculum.• Responsible for creating meaningful and impactful analyses creating reports and presenting findings.• Ensures all work is done within the confines of data privacy.• In-depth Knowledge of Success Factors and various modules• In-depth knowledge and experience in SAP production systems• Strong oral and communication skills• Supports business requests to support year end audits.• Provides support for internal audits and other projects.• Must be available for callout 24 X 7• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically.• Ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes and provide reports.• Demonstrated agility, adaptability to meet business needs.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or a related technical field• 4 or more years of HRM systems experience with at least 2 years related work experience with the SAP suite of products• Demonstrated leadership capabilities through projects or other work planning experiences• Understanding of and experience in IT project management methodologies, requirements management, quality assurance and IT processes.• Requires broad knowledge of the business area's functions and applications, and of system and technology alternatives• Demonstrated experience managing outsourced vendors (on and off shore) within the information technology field.• In-depth knowledge of HR and Payroll Services functions, applications, and system & technology alternatives
