The Digital Solutions Senior Product Owner is responsible for executing on the vision/strategy of key client and financial professional facing capabilities for Cetera's Growth 360 platform and growth technology offerings. This role owns product strategy, experience design, and user story and requirements documentation and execution for owned features and functionality and will help drive the product strategy/roadmap in collaboration with product managers and business partners.
This role will be work a Hybrid work schedule and can be located near any of our offices: Dallas TX, San Diego, CA, El Segundo, CA Shamburg IL, Denver, CO Des Moines, IA and ST. Cloud, MN
What you will do:Create and recommend the product's digital vision and strategy; articulating the experience and capabilities that need to be delivered based on feedback/input from advisors, key business SMEs, channel leaders, and Digital Solutions leadership and oversee the implementation of agreed upon strategies.Partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze, understand, and document business needs and objectives.Discover what users need and where in the digital experience they would expect to interact with key data by collaborating with financial professionals, members of their teams, and internal business partners.Construct user journey maps/flows, process flows, and other supporting visual requirements documentation.Drive the success of the product capabilities and features by ensuring alignment with user needs, business goals, and market trends.Complete business scope documents and define and document user personas for individual products.Participate in cross team development reviews and discussion to ensure a complete understanding and alignment with the AdviceWorks roadmap, supporting long-term synchronizing and planning between the teams.Curate and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing the most valuable features and enhancements based on business objectives, user feedback, and consumer and market needs.Collaborate with financial professionals, members of their teams, internal business partners, and end-clients to co-operatively design new features/enhancements.Lead the discovery process to investigate product opportunities and help develop wireframes and prototypes to validate research use cases.Gather and document requirements, write user stories and acceptance criteria.Conduct market, competitive, and user research to inform the product strategy and roadmap and lead RFP/RFIsPartner with program/project management, user experience, development, and testing teams to execute and deliver against shared business objectives and delivery milestones.Drive awareness and promote the usage of digital solutions by clearly communicating and presenting their value and benefits internally within the company, at conferences and events, and/or with prospective financial advisors/institutions.Participate in go-to-market planning, including product launches, promotions, and communication strategies.Monitor and analyze product performance and usage data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to enhance the customer experience and drive product adoption.Acts as primary Digital Solutions contact for 3rd party vendor relationships.What you will need:
Demonstrated ability to work on sensitive initiatives, showing discretion while helping drive projects forward.Ability to synthesize data and information into recommendations and then drive the execution based on those recommendations.Data and insight driven approach to understanding the marketplace, customer needs (end-consumer and financial professional), and competitor offerings.Proven ability to engage, collaborate, and engender trust with other teams (including user-experience and development teams).Lean/design thinking/user centered design approach to product vision, design, and roadmap management.Passion for following and understanding technology trends with the ability to understand how to take advantage of them from a product roadmap and innovation perspective.Ability to understand technical subject matter and make informed decisions/trade-offs in partnership with application development and engineering teams.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while delivering on-time and with quality.Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Background building or enhancing a digital platform that integrates third-party technology experiences into a firm native platform.Experience in the industry working with and integrating best-in-class growth and sales vendors such as Actifi.A style of working that combines a bias for action with a problem-solving mindset, a can-do attitude, the ability to adapt quickly, and a collaborative, team-based approach to success.Exceptional communication and presentation skills; comfortable presentations to executives, facilitating discussions with end-clients and/or groups of financial professionals, etc.Entrepreneurial/innovative driver of change and new ways of working.Customer-centric approach to everything you do.Minimum Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant number of years of experience.A minimum of 7 years of digital product management and/or related experience with financial advisor and/or consumer facing products/solutions.Financial Services experience required (Broker/Dealer and/or RIA firm experience) and other vertical industries a nice to have.Experience as a leader and/or influencer of people and distributed teams.
Travel Requirements:
Up to 10%
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000, plus competitive performance-based bonus. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. Compensation ranges may differ in differing locations due to cost of labor considerations.
